Policy - USB Devices
The Policy feature for Personal USB Devices allows you to manage a group of devices of the same model with a single configuration, this also includes updating the device software to all devices in the policy group. Poly Lens creates a policy for each USB device model type (i.e., Voyager Focus 2, Sync 20, Studio P15), allowing you to easily manage your devices that are associated through Poly Lens Desktop.
Note: Poly Lens Desktop Version 1.1.9 is required to support Policies for USB Devices.

Edit Policy Settings
To edit policy settings of a group of devices see the following procedure. Note: The Policy device settings in Poly Lens are a subset of the device options, and cover the basic settings for the device.
For detailed information on the device settings, see the device documentation listed on Device Documentation links page.
- Verify that Device Provisioning is enabled on the Account. See Enable Device Provisioning on an Account.
- Go to Manage > Policy.
- Select Device Model.
- Select a USB device model from the Device Model list.
- Select a Setting on the side tab and modify as needed.
- Click Apply.
- The policy will be applied during the next polling cycle.
Note: ToolTips (question mark icon) have been provided on fields to assist you with setting the parameters.

| Filter settings | This feature allows you to enter search parameters, resulting in displaying only the Settings that contain those parameters. For example: Enter "date". All sections that include date settings will display in the sidebar. |
| My Settings | With this feature you can view and manage all the changes that have made to this device. See My Settings for detailed information. |
| General | Ringtones and Volume: Allows you to configure settings related to ringtones and volume controls. |
| Ringtones & Volume | Allows you to configure settings related to the devices smart sensors (official name in user guide). |
| Sensors & Presence | Allows you to configure Wearing Sensor (Controller): Active Call Audio, Auto-Answer, Auto-Pause Music. |
| Audio | Allows you to configure settings related to advanced audio features, like Acoustic Fence and NoiseBlockAI. |
| Wireless | Allows you to configure settings related to pairing controls and wireless performance. |
| Advanced | Allows you to configure advanced settings related to acoustic event protection and noise exposure limiting. |
| Software Update | Manage the software settings for the Policy. |
Software Update
The Software Update feature in a Policy allows you to keep all the devices in the Policy at the same software level.
- Go to Manage > Policy.
- Select Device Model.
- Select a USB device model from the Device Model list.
- Select the Software Update from the side tab.
- Select your software options:

| Auto‑update with Latest Version | This option will update the software when a new version is released. The latest version that is applied will be displayed. Note When this option is enabled the Download Source and Select Version for Update will no longer display. |
- Click Apply.
Note: You can modify the policy, however you cannot apply the policy until Device Provisioning is enabled. See Enable Device Provisioning on an Account. Once enabled, the policy will be applied during the next polling cycle.
Refresh of Policy
Policy settings are refreshed to devices through Poly Lens Desktop:
- When the Poly Lens Desktop app is started, or restarted
- When a new device is connected to Poly Lens Desktop
- Every 24 hours after initial connection
Inheritance Status
To the right of each Settings field an Inheritance status is listed.
Device policy – Indicates this field has been set by Device (Manage > Inventory or Manage > Policy > Individual Device)
Device User Group policy - Indicates this field has been set by Device User Group (Manage > Policy > Device User Group)
Site policy – Indicates this field has been set by Site (Manage > Policy > Site)
Group policy – Indicates this field has been set by Device Group (Manage > Policy > Device Group)
Model policy – Indicates this field has been set by Device Model (Manage > Policy > Device Model)
Blank – Indicates this field is at the device default setting
