Onboarding Process
The onboarding process covers everything required to add a device into the system.
These steps assume that you already have access to Poly Lens and have at least one account available for the device.
There are multiple options for onboarding devices into Poly Lens:
Provisioning Based Onboarding
Best option for onboarding large fleets of devices. Ideal when managing policies and pushing software updates to groups of devices. This method also allows access to more device configurations.
- Onboard a Single Voice Device using Provisioning - To register a voice device one at a time into Poly Lens, working with the device system web interface.
- Onboard Voice Devices via Provisioning via DHCP Auto Discovery - To bulk onboard a group of voice devices into Poly Lens.
- Onboard a Single Video Device using Provisioning - To register a video device one at a time into Poly Lens, working with the device system web interface.
- Onboard Video Devices via the DHCP Auto Discovery - Use DHCP to automatically register your video devices to a provisioning server.
Provisioning Based Onboarding of USB Devices

PIN/QR Code Onboarding
Option for onboarding an individual device. Ideal when managing a few devices or during device evaluations. Policy-based management is not supported for devices registered this manner.

Personal USB Devices
To manage Personal USB devices in Poly Lens, Poly Lens Desktop is required.
- Email Invite to use Poly Lens Desktop - Send a simple email invite to download the Poly Lens Desktop app and get Personal USB devices connected to Poly Lens.
