Plamex, in Tijuana, Mexico, is Poly’s largest manufacturing facility and has been in operation for nearly 50 years with a proud tradition of excellence. The facility was named the “Best Place to Work” in Mexico by the Great Place to Work Institute for six consecutive years, validating their long-standing reputation as an exemplary business in the region. Annual Weddings Make Plamex Beautiful
This April, Poly hosted a joyful day of celebration as 19 happy couples were joined in marriage at Plamex. A local civil judge carried out the nuptials while friends and families filled the audience, along with every Plamex director. One Poly employee, who sings opera, gifted the newlyweds with a performance. The day concluded with a bouquet toss, pictures with loved ones and, of course, some cupcakes.
How it Began
Plamex facilitated the first of these legal unions twenty years ago when the government began providing loans for couples to buy homes, and seeing this, Poly wanted to contribute something toward advancing personal dreams as well. Ever since, our Plamex location has organized legal unions, covering marriage certificate fees, and a day of celebration for couples annually, excluding 2021. More than 1,200 couples have been married at this event, and it is one of the most outstanding moments at Plamex every year.

2022 Marks an Important Milestone
This year is an especially important year to celebrate because same-sex marriages have been legalized in Baja California, Mexico, and one couple chose to be legally united at Plamex. Doleydaly Ramirez Aguilar, pictured on the left below, said, “Thank you for all the support and for making everything possible!”
