As a remote worker I find that I am sometimes cut off from\u00a0training’s\u00a0and classes that others at my organization may be offered.\u00a0 In an effort to stay up to date on the latest information from home, I have had to search the deepest corners of the internet to find learning resources.\u00a0 I would like to share some of them with you.<\/p>\n
Codecademy.com<\/a><\/p>\n Codecademy helps you to learn how to code (or learn a new language if you already can code) in an easy to use interactive environment.\u00a0 Many of these types of tutorials can be found around the net.\u00a0 Learnpython.org<\/a> is one of many examples.\u00a0 Some\u00a0persistence\u00a0and spare time can lead to you becoming the next programmer at your workplace.<\/p>\n MIT Courses<\/a><\/p>\n MIT offers an astonishing amount of their back courses online for free.\u00a0 If you would like to learn about of subject, you can read the material, do the assignments, and even take the exams.\u00a0 Everything from French to Aerospace Engineering is available.\u00a0 Unfortunately, you cant claim the degree for viewing the online classes.<\/p>\n University of Reddit<\/a><\/p>\n I know it must sound like a joke, going to Reddit for something other than memes and cat pictures, but it can actually be a great resource.\u00a0 University of Reddit has experts of many different fields constantly offering classes that you can sign up for entirely for free.\u00a0 You can even request or show interest in a certain topic.\u00a0 If enough interest exists, surely there is a Redditor who is willing to teach it.\u00a0 Whether you want to learn self defense, how to train your dog, or how to manage multiple employees, it’s worth a look.<\/p>\n Amazon’s E-Books<\/p>\n Amazon has a huge selection of free e-books you can download and read with no cost to you.\u00a0 Even if you don’t have a kindle you can install the app on your phone or tablet, and read away.\u00a0 They are mostly older books, but it can’t hurt to catch up on some War and Peace.<\/p>\n
